We’re thrilled that you’re looking into this ministry. Whether you’re looking for a youth group for your child, interested in volunteering, or simply wanting to know more about us, we want you to know what our heart beats for—students!
Here at Mt. Hope, we deeply value the lives of students. We don’t believe they’re the “future” of the church, we believe they are the church now.
We recognize their limitless potential and want to invest into their lives strategically and lovingly to help them become the great Kingdom workers God designed them to be.
We make it our priority to connect with teens by providing an atmosphere of relevance and comfort.
The youth coaches serve as consistent spiritual mentors for our students on a weekly basis. These are selected individuals who will interact with students on a deeper relational level. Their primary time for meeting with the students takes place on Wednesday nights in their Fusion small groups.
These coaches are also committed to interacting with the students outside of church. Often, the coaches will invite the students to their homes, out to eat, or participate in a variety of activities ranging from bowling, to shopping, to playing video games. In addition, we require all of our coaches to make contact with the students via phone call, text, Facebook, or email throughout the week to check up on them and pray for them.
These coaches love to be around students and truly desire to encourage them in their faith during their adolescent time. We encourage our parents to get to know their child’s coach.
